Jason: The red ranger from Power Rangers. I loved Power Rangers and I was way to old to admit it, probably all the other kids were too! 
Funny that the first thing to pop into my head with J- was Jason the red ranger!
Jello: Big Daddy and I are eatting low carbs and the only sweets we can have is sugar free jello- but it’s not that sugary!!
Jesus: DUH!! Should have thought of that first.. I have been trying to think of another J… duh!!
Wild Child asked me tonight, “what’s for dinner?”
I said “pork chops (hork hops AGAIN!), green beans, broccili, and a cheese stick.”
She looks at me, with a total straight face and said, “OK, but what am I having?”
GEEZZ!! It isn’t easy getting this kid to eat good foods.. I mean if it was up to her she’d eat mac-n-cheese and hotdogs all the time. Anywho- just another dinner funny.
One thing I really hate doing… clipping the kids nails! I hate it! They hate it… clipping their nails should be a musical, I basically sing and dance around clipping one nail at a time to keep them from screaming, pulling, and hurting themselves… it really is exhausting! I normally clip one or two nails at a time, when I see one is getting long. TODAY, I was feeling rather ambitious so I decided to clip both children’s fingers and toes… 40 nails later everyone was clipped! It is funny when you think what gives you that feeling of accomplishment when you become a parent. I remember I used to feel accomplished when I aced a college exam or swam cleanup in a relay. I never thought I’d get the same gratification and feeling of accomplishment from clipping 40 nails. I also never imagined I’d love another being as much as I love my kids. Something quite gratifying knowing they won’t be able to scratch and hurt themselves or one another. 
Ice: I love ice water, it’s my favorite thing to drink!
Imagination: Wild Child has the biggest imagination… she likes to pretend that she is puppy dog, a mommy, a teacher, a baby, Swiper the Fox, Ruby, anything she can come up with! She’s a trip!!!
Ignorance: is bliss!
We have been having some troubles with getting Angel Boy to sleep at night; well, getting to sleep isn’t the problem- but staying to sleep is. Once we put him in his crib he wakes up usually within an hour he is fussing again… tonight we put him to bed and then he woke up I went in and rubbed his back and said ‘night night time Troy’ and walked out -to listen on the monitor I didn’t hear anything, I thought it was a miracle that he just went to bed on his own. So about an hour later I peaked in.. he is laying there on his back, looking around, he spotted me and started laughing… like I could just see he was saying to himself “WHAT ARE THEY THINKING? Do they think I am going to go to sleep without my dad? They are nuts. It’s ok, they’ll be back… oh there she is…. haha and she thought I was asleep this whole time… what was she thinking!? Dumb Parents” It’s like he is smarter than we are!!!
Last night was mac-n-cheese, peas, and pork chops…. Wild Child ate everything but the pork chop… I cut like 4 small pieces for her to try (just try it, is all I ask). She says “I ate those hork hops, I get ice cream now” -yet it was obvious that something was under her plate; when I picked up her plate I saw the four pieces of pork, I said “well, what is that?” she said “HORK HOPS, How mysterious!?” I thought it was really funny…. she did eat one piece though and she did get her ice cream cup. HOW MYSTERIOUS!??
Such a sad but most times very true. I do agree most people who claim to be Christians are not always the most Christ like, but we are imperfect.. we should try to be lights to the world; it’s like by claiming you are a Christian you have this high expectation put on you… like you have something to prove. I don’t know.. I agree with this quote in that Christians aren’t like Christ, but that’s because we are sinners saved by Grace… and thank God for that. I do wish though; that the stereotypical ‘all Christians are hypocrites’ wasn’t such an issue. We are all sinners saved by grace, if we accept it. Thank God for a merciful Lord.
Horses: All my life I grew up around horses. I had a pony named ‘Moony’ when I was a toddler; Wild Child has a pony named ‘Gracie’… she loves riding like I did, I still do. I have horrible allergies to animal dander and it’s really bad with horses. When I was a kid I said I was the cowgirl who couldn’t ride… it made me sad. I love seeing Wild Child on her horse and loving it. Even when she is home with us she pretends the couch is a horse and she has a horse room… it brings me joy seeing her love horses.
Home: Where my heart is…. I love my home, not my house but my home… being my family, my husband, my children… the home that Big Daddy and I have created and are building on. I love thinking about our kids someday saying ‘I am going home’… knowing that is with me and Big Daddy.
Happy: Angel Boy is always happy…. unless he is in his car seat! But he is a happy, smiley boy… I love him.
Georgia: My sister’s middle name. She has two middle names but we don’t ever mention this one, I guess she doesn’t like it as much as the other one… oh, the other one is Royce; Georgia Royce…. but she just uses Royce. I think it’s sweet… our parents decided to name her after our grandpa George and our other grandpa Royce… I think it’s cool. I think if I was her I’d tell people my name was Georgia; sounds like a sweet country girl… which is what she is!
Grapes: I bought some grapes at the grocery store the other day. I gave Wild Child a cup of grapes for snack before bedtime. She gave them to her daddy and told him ‘try em’.. he did and told me ‘those are S-O-U-R’ (we have to spell things- we don’t want her thinking all grapes are S-O-U-R).. I didn’t take time to spell it out, I tried them… YUCK! Next time I’ll try them before giving Wild Child a cup.
Green: Wild Child’s jammies are green with blue dots and a puppy dog They are my favorite ones.
Wild Child and I had a serious battle of wills today… she almost won. We made cake today for Big Daddy and I made some cupcakes without icing for Wild Child (she doesn’t need sugar!). I told her if she ate all of her dinner she could have a cupcake. I gave her a plate with a grilled chicken breast cut up and corn and pears… now I don’t expect her to eat all of it but at least a couple bites of each item. She put a couple pieces of corn onto her spoon and into her mouth, spit it out (I was watching from the corner of my eye), then the same with the chicken and again with the pears. I offered her some ketchup for the chicken, she accepted and then stacked the chicken into the ketchup like bricks with concrete… at that point I made the comment that if she ate her dinner she could have a cupcake -Wrong! I think she had forgotten about the cupcakes…. twenty minutes later she had yet to eat one bite. Thirty more minutes of gaging and crying I got her to eat one ounce of chicken, a spoonful of corn, and all of the pears… doesn’t sound like much but it was enough for me; don’t think I force feed the child that wasn’t hungry… she then devoured the entire cupcake in 30 seconds flat! I almost gave into her, so I am sitting at the desk trying to avoid the filth that is my kitchen… but patting myself on the back for getting her to eat one oz. of grilled chicken breast! That was probably the most healthy thing that she has ever eaten! This healthy eating kick is hard work!
